Welcome to CAMBRIDGE HIGHLAND DANCE & COMPANY; offering lessons in Competitive Highland Dance, Modern Dance, RAD Ballet and Canadian Step Dance.

Competitive highland dance lessons include highland, national, jig and hornpipe and is taught to children right through to adult. With over 30 years teaching experience, 34 years in the Cambridge area. Competitive (emphasis) and recreation classes available. Dancers have competed throughout Canada, U.S. and Scotland with numerous titles and championships won. Dancers have competed in the World Championships at Cowal in Scotland. August 2015 resulted in a 12 year student finishing in the top ten in the world in the Juvenile category. In August 2022, a dancer placed top 20 in the Junior World Championships.

A dancer is the 2023 current Ontario Closed Champion in the 16 & Under 18. In addition she finished 2nd overall in Canada in the 2023 ScotDance Canada Championship Series held in Halifax.

BATD exams are held once yearly, with scholarship opportunities available. In 2019 and 2022 dancers placed 1st in written paper and this year, 2022, a dancer won the Senior Scholarship from dancers across North America.

Choreography and performance groups are a regular and important part of the dance curriculum.

Fundraising opportunities are on going to help with the travel expense on specific studio trips such as Scotland, Disney in Florida and Scholarships throughout North America.
